Frequently Asked Questions
Dr. Hale subscribes to the latest industry journals to keep tabs on research and development in the industry. He and our team set aside time for continuing education every year. As a team and as individuals, we make it our responsibility to be familiar with the latest techniques and materials so that the care we provide is the care you deserve.
We like to see children in our office by the age of three and four, so that we can anticipate the development of their teeth and bite prior to the emergence of the permanent teeth. With young children, recognizing and addressing potential problems is usually simple. The first time we meet a child is often at the parent's appointment. We'll introduce ourselves and make your child comfortable with our team and office. Then, on their first real visit, we will treat them gently, with special care to create a positive, non-threatening experience. Of course, if your toddler accidentally chips or knocks out a tooth at any time, call us immediately
Dr. Hale offers one-visit whitening with Boost by Opal Essence and home whitening with professional bleaching kits. Our procedures are safe and effective. Dr. Hale will examine your teeth and gums, then talk with you about your concerns, if you have any. He’ll recommend the best option to meet your needs.
Yes, this can be an early sign of gum disease. We recommend you come in for an examination.
Your comfort is extremely important to us so we use a number of techniques and devices designed to make you feel more relaxed. These include education (knowledge can put you at ease), open communication (we listen!), sedation dentistry (oral sedation), nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and amenities, such as blankets, headphones, and your very own chair massager!
With today's technology, materials, and advanced techniques, we have many options for restoring weak, broken, chipped, discolored, and/or missing teeth. For example, in just one visit, Dr. Hale can design, fabricate, and permanently apply an all-porcelain crown to restore a structurally damaged tooth. For smaller areas of decay, the dentist can apply all-porcelain onlays or inlays, which are similar to crowns, but allow us to retain more natural tooth structure. To correct unattractive front teeth, we can apply handcrafted, paper-thin porcelain veneers that improve the shape, color, and size of teeth. Patients missing a number of front or side teeth may benefit from a partial denture, designed for either the upper or lower jaw, made of all acrylic or all metal. Removable partials are attached to existing teeth by means of precision acrylic clasps. For more information on any of these procedures, please feel free to talk with Dr. Hale during your visit.
There are several procedures that can give you a brighter, more attractive smile. These treatments include Invisalign (clear braces), veneers, bonding, and many other esthetic restorative services.
Dr. Hale is a preferred, in-network, provider for most companies. We will also file out-of-network claims and accept your copay or deductible, if allowed by the carrier. If you have any questions about our policies regarding insurance, call and speak with our front office insurance specialist.
We make all aspects of your dental visit comfortable – even payment for services. Pay by check, cash, American Express, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard.
