What Causes Low Bone Density?
Typically, low bone density is the result of bone loss from missing teeth or severe gum disease. Left unchecked and untreated, low bone density can also lead to more serious health problems, particularly when teeth need to be replaced. Traditional dental implants are anchored into the jawbone, but this procedure does not work when the patient doesn’t have the density required to support the implants.
